As a softball player, my ultimate goal is to protect my team at all costs. This includes sacrificing myself in order to score that extra run or preventing the other team from scoring. Whatever position my team needs me to play at any given time, I’m there, no complaints or hesitation. I am listed as a catcher/outfielder, but I'm an athlete first and foremost. I am willing to take risks both offensively and defensively. Speed and hustle are my stand-out strengths. I am pushing myself physically and mentally at times to exhaustion. I always look to learn new techniques, and I am always eager to achieve at a higher level of competition toward playing college softball.
Keeping a positive attitude has always been one of my assets. I thrive on bringing up the spirits of my fellow teammates. Keeping a good chemistry is the key to a successful team. At times, I tend to be hard on myself but never dwell on the past, rather I learn from the mistakes and move forward. Through practice and reflection, I continue to perfect my game. Being an athlete means more than just the game. I learned that I need to give back to my community and hold myself to a higher standard. I always strive to be my best both when I’m on and off the field. That drive is my advantage. It pushes me to become stronger and faster while at the same time admiring those whom I can learn from and grow. Some of my greatest gifts are speed, strength and hustle. That’s where I stand out from the rest.
