Mackenzie Wesson '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mackenzie Wesson, I am a 5’9” First Baseman/Outfielder from Colfax, Illinois. I am a highly competitive, multi-sport athlete that maintains a 4.083 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I am very involved with my school and community, currently serve as my class Vice President and I am a member of student council and FFA.  I have been a varsity starter in the three sports that I play for my high school (Softball, Basketball, and Volleyball) every year since my Freshman year. I have been the starting First Baseman or Outfielder and bat 3rd or 4th in the lineup for both for my varsity softball team, Lexington-Ridgeview, as well as my current travel team, the BNGSA Angels 06. I was selected Second Team All-Conference Infielder as a Freshman and Second Team All-Conference Outfielder as a Sophomore with my high school team.  In my free time I like to spend time with my family and friends, read, watch and participate in sports, and help with my schools Jr High softball team. I would make a great teammate because I am a positive, coachable, hard worker that would help lead the team. My goal is to attend a college where I can be a successful student athlete and play softball at a high level while completing the steps towards my career goal of working in the medical/sports medicine field.
