Megan McGinley '21 Recruiting Profile

My parents had me and my 3 brothers playing baseball starting me when I was 4 years old .   From the very start of baseball, I always liked catching whether I was helping other teammates with the gear or putting on the gear myself.  When I made the all-star team and my twin brother didn't my parents decided to transition me to softball.  I knew when I started softball that this was the sport I wanted to play.  I started on my first travel team when I was 10.  I have always played the positions of catcher and 3rd base.  My coaches always tell me I'm respectful and a pleasure to have on the team and can always depend on me whether it's 30 degrees or 105 degrees outside.  I am a team player by keeping the atmosphere light by cracking jokes as well as talking up the players.  My ultimate goal is to attend a University that can provide me an outstanding education to help prepare me for my future along with playing on a competitive softball team, playing the sport I love.
