Personal Statement
My earliest memory of playing softball was when I was the age of five. I have loved the feeling of the ball hitting the bat ever since I can remember. As I kept playing, I became aware I wanted to play softball at the highest level possible. I dream of playing softball in college. Putting on my uniform and being part of a team is my greatest thrill and my deepest passion.
I am a leader and try to help my teammates on and off the field, whether it means leading extra fielding drills or just being the best teammate and friend I can be. My promise to my coaches and teammates is to always be the hardest working player on the field. My passion is to consistently learn and become a better player. I can guarantee I will never give less that 100% effort both on and off the field and will always have a positive attitude. It's a promise you can hold me accountable to. I will never let you down.
Academics and education are important to me and I put in just as much hard work and dedication into my schoolwork as I do at softball. I maintain a high GPA and my hopes are to find a school that not only pushes me in athletics but also in the classroom so I can pursue a career as a pediatrician. I aspire to be a role model to everybody on and off the field and will do al I can to improve each day.
Playing softball with my teammates and coaches is the best feeling in the world. Nothing makes me happier than being able to get up everyday, knowing that I get to play softball another day. I am so thankful for that. There is no place I would rather be than my home, the field.
It's a great day to play some softball.
