Alexandra O’Rourke '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Alexandra O’Rourke and I am an aspiring college athlete in the Benet Academy class of 2024. I strive to play competitive college softball at an academically challenging school. 

I plan to use my time at college to study political science with a minor in English. I want to use my degree to continue on to law school. Academics comes first to me as I have been an high honor role student since sixth grade and take rigorous courses throughout my high school career. I personally succeed in the classroom with a 4.3 GPA.

On the field, I am known for my key hits. I had 14 RBIs in 16 games. On top of that, I earned a 0.595 BA and a 0.651 OB%. I also excel on the mound posting a 1.5 to 1 strike out to inning rate.  At first base, I had over 132 putouts in the summer with a .968 fielding percentage.

I am not afraid of competition; I welcome it! From taking on a rigorous class schedule to devoting many hours to playing the game I love, hard work and competition are not strangers to me. I pride myself as a leader on the field and was named a co-captain of my team. 

I cannot wait to start my college career and compete at your university in the future!
