Isabella Iovinelli '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, and thank you for viewing my profile!  I’m still looking for a school and team that is the right fit for me.  I have a lot to offer for softball and as a student.  I’m ready to commit to the right opportunity!  I’ve been working a lot at 2B this fall so I’m ready to take over the right side next year for you!

New team, new Fall schedule updated.  Summer workouts made me stronger and faster.  I’m beating all my key stats and kicking some butt this season!  Last summer, 220 foot fences couldn’t stop me (watch my videos as proof).  RH batter down to first in under 3 seconds, no problem.  Steal second?  Yes Coach, next pitch I’ll be there.  Can I steal third too?  Ground balls, line drives to the left side - got them, you’re out at first.  You want to bunt?  Go for it.  Unless you’re down the line in 2.5, you’re out too.  Need a good teammate that’s always supportive and talking?  I got that too.  Portal - hate it.  I want to find a great home now and stay there.  This whole recruiting process is frustrating enough, especially for someone who wasn’t 5‘ 10” - 6’ in 7th grade to get the attention of D1s.  My best skills developed later from hard work and dedication, and I know I’m ready for any Division.  All I need is someone to recognize it and take the chance.

Like everyone here, I love softball and look forward to playing in college.  I love pushing myself to improve in every aspect of the game.  I feel like no matter how good you are, there’s always room for improvement, and I never stop trying to improve myself.  Hitting for more power or better contact, fielding quickness/footwork/smoothness, stronger, more accurate throws, speed on the bases, and improving mental focus are some of the things I’m always working on to be the best I can be.  My next goal is to play 3B/SS/INF on a college team that works hard together on and off the field.  On the field, I have a great work ethic and always give 100% whether it’s practice or a game, starting or on the bench.  On the left side of the infield, my smooth footwork, great range, quick release, and strong, accurate arm help me make every play with rarely an error.  I have very quick hands in the batter’s box, and can hit for power or placement to all sides of the field, with great speed to turn a single into a double and easily steal bases to help manufacture runs.  I’ve been told by coaches and players that I’m a great teammate, and I consider that a huge compliment.  Talking to each other and making sure everyone knows the situation helps the whole team make the right plays.  Academically, I maintain a high GPA (4.01 out of 4) and plan to study Exercise Science or Kinesiology.  Combining softball and/or other sports with my degree would be awesome.  I hope you enjoy the videos on my profile, and I look forward to hearing from you.
