Jen Kuhn '21 Recruiting Profile

I'm Jen Kuhn and I am a C/3B/RHP utility player from Normal, Illinois. I attend University High School and will graduate in the year 2021. I have played on competitive travel teams since 3rd grade and have loved learning and growing each year in this sport.

As a freshman, I batted second and started in left field.  We advanced and won 3A Regional and Sectional titles. I also was a part of the freshman volleyball team and was given the Sportsmanship award.

As a sophomore last year, I batted third and shifted mostly between playing third base and pitching. We won the Central State 8 Conference and I was chosen as a part of the All-Conference team and 3rd team All-State. I was also elected MVP for the JV volleyball team.

I want to attend a college where I can not only immediately make an impact athletically, but become a better teammate and person. I hope to develop close relationships with my teammates and coaches and accomplish a lot during the season on the field and off. I want to be a part of a team that's competitive with a competitive schedule that isn't more than a few hours from my home town. A small-to-medium sized school would be the most ideal for me. However, if the right opportunity arises, I would be open to considering other options!

I’m different from other recruits because I'm focused, dedicated, and hard-working, whether it be on the field or in my academics. I have a 4.0/4.0 and have always set my school work as a priority. It's always been a dream of mine to play college softball and I am so excited for the opportunity!
