Academics are very important to me. My goal is to be a biomedical engineer. I love science and mathematics, and biomedical engineering deals with both. I want to go to college so that I can accomplish my goal. In college I want to continue learning and meeting new people. I try and work my hardest to maintain good grades. I've learned a lot from softball. I've learned that you are going to fail in life but you can't ever give up. With that being said, I have learned to accept failure and move on. I've learned that you can't hold on to things from the past, for example if I strike out I'm not going to let that affect the rest of my game, I'm going to shake it off and do my job the next at bat. What I've learned about myself from softball is that I don't quit, we can be down by 15 and I'll still be on the fence cheering and positive. I believe I have the work-ethic, leadership skills, academic skills, and character to compete at the college level.
