I am a teammate. I am a cheerleader. I am a worker bee. I am an athlete.
From the time I was little I have always been involved in something sports related. My earliest memory was dance and baton twirling. It then evolved into trying multiple sports such as swimming, soccer, tennis, basketball and softball. I am drawn to the sports that engage multiple players. Something has always pushed me towards working with others. I love the comradery of it and having someone’s back.
I soon realized that I enjoyed 2 sports but was only passionate about one. Softball! I have been playing since I was in 4th grade. Started with our local rec ball league and then in 8th grade joined a travel team. I started JV my freshman year at first base and was named Outstanding JV Player. I made Varsity my sophomore year, starting at first base and was awarded the Silver Slugger award for hitting. I recently made a premier softball team which has been amazing. These girls challenge me at every practice and game to be better.
To keep in shape during off season, I play basketball for my high school team, attend travel practices, take hitting lessons and work on my own. In my spare time, I have a part time job and have been 4-H member for 8 years. I am committed, have a strong work ethic, like to be challenged and am a team player. My goal is to play in college and maybe coach one day.
