My name is Elizabeth (Liz) Hamilton and I am a 5'5 pitcher/outfielder. I aspire to play softball at the collegiate level. I started playing softball when I was seven years old. When I first started playing softball it was just a way to get me active but, I quickly fell in love with the game. I began pitching when I was 9. It was not until then that knew I wanted to pursue playing the game beyond my high school years. Softball has shown me numerous things about myself that I did not know. I have learned that I work well under pressure and it has shown me how to keep my composure when the going gets tough. I have become dedicated to the game of softball not only with pitching but with hitting, fielding, and base running.
In addition to softball, academics are extremely important to me. I would like to attend a college that is going to challenge me academically but at the same time help me pursue the career I would like. Marine biology is where my interests lie for a future career. In high school, I strive to be part of the NHS and other extracurricular activities. Like softball, school has taught me what it means to work hard and prioritize. In both school and softball, I am highly competitive whether it be in a game or practice.
