My name is Savannah (Sav) Michalski, I am a dedicated, hard working athlete with a passion for Softball. I have been playing softball for just about 9 years. I wouldn't be where I am today with my parents who have been there to support and encourage me from day one. My mom always telling me that one mistake doesn't define the player I am, and my dad always telling me to keep my head down while swinging and keep my head up when I lose. I can't thank them enough for the love and support they show me day in and day out.
I have some many great accomplishments in my career thus far. Most recently, I was recruited to play for America's Team in Spain in the Summer of 2025. I am incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to play in Spain on America's Team and am incredibly proud and thankful for this opportunity. My greatest accomplishment to date; is teaching myself how to swing left handed by watching videos and practicing consistently. I was a right handed batter up until last year. My travel ball coaches encouraged me to switch to the left side many different times due to speed and ability to slap hit. With the help of my current travel coaches Marty Metzger and Marrisa Battiato; I was strictly slapping however, I wanted to continue to challenge myself so, I started watching videos on how to have a powerful, fluent swing on the left side. I am currently working at it everyday and I am confident that I will be able to power hit lefty in the near future.
My long term goal is to inspire young female athletes by sharing my love of softball and encouraging them to chase their dreams just like I am chasing mine! I want to be able make an impact by showing young female athletes that with hard work, dedication, great attitude, and a positive mindset, anything is possible.
