Amel Salman '22 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete, I strive to radiate a positive attitude and dedication to my teammates and the atmosphere around. I am always seeking improvement on the field and in the classroom as I take any critisism and use it as feedback to make me a better softball player and student. I am primarily a right handed pitcher and I also play third base. I occasionally play first base when I am needed there which I see as a beneficial thing since I have more chance of playing. I am a big believer of earning your playing time as I think it is the right mindset for athletes. I am a hardworking athlete who uses that mindset to strive to be a better player than I was yesterday.

As a student-athlete, time management is a crucial part of my daily life which I was taught by this sport at a young age.I plan on going to a university that challeneges me and fits my acedemic needs. I plan on Majoring in health sciences as that is the career path that I am most interested in and I think would be a great fit for me.
