I am Emma Nayler and I live in Barrie, Ontario. I am a grade 11 student and I am very passionate about playing softball at the collegiate level. I am a goal oriented driven person, putting 100% into everything I do. The things I am most passionate about would be softball and my education.
While on a team, I drive myself to be the best player on the field while also supporting my teammates in every way possible. As a catcher and infielder, I have always thrived off of the leadership role these positions have allowed me to take on, loving nothing more than the opportunity to encourage my teammates to be the best they can be. Apart from this, my dedication to pushing myself can be seen through achievements such as my All Star Award for top catcher at the 18u Canadian Championships, an achievement I am immensely proud of as I was only 16 years old.
At school, I am a standout student in all of my classes and am often the person that my peers come to for academic support. When it comes to school I am extremely self driven, my studies being something I take very seriously. A dream of mine is to pursue a degree in the sciences at an academically competitive school while on this softball path.
Apart from this, I enjoy spending my time helping my city's softball league by coaching at catching clinics for younger girls. Apart from the experience coaching gives me, I love to see my players get better and smile when they learn something new.
As a person that thrives under pressure, the opportunity to be both academically and athletically challenged is exciting and extremely important to me. To be part of a program that is as dedicated and passionate as me about having a family-like team as well as a desire to win is something I look forward to greatly.
