Takara Kolterman '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Takara Kolterman and I am an outfielder. I’ve been playing competitive softball for about 5 years and my love for softball is immeasurable.  I go into each season with the goal to advance my game! Learning new skills and advancement is what drives me!

While my freshman season of high school softball was canceled, I had made varsity! With the uncertainty we all experienced the summer of 2020 and possibility of having the opportunity to play with my club/travel team also taken away I never take a season for granted. 

My skill and ability provided me the opportunity to play for an 18 A team the summer of 2020.  Although one of the youngest on the team, I ended the season batting top three in the line up and top third batting stats. I have remained playing at the 18A/Gold level.

Attending the 12th largest high school in Kansas has pushed me for achievements both athletically and academically. 

My high school debut came my sophomore year where I was the Varsity lead off batter and starter at Center Field.  Ending the season hitting the highest batting average on the team with a .492, most stolen bases, most hits, most RBI's and most runs scored.  My junior year batting average was .476, with 30 runs scored and a .530 on-base percentage. Between the two years I have a 99% fielding percentage. 

My sophomore year, I was selected 1st team All-League and 1st team All-Area.  My junior year, I was selected 2nd team All-League and awaiting selection for All-Area to be announced. 

I was inducted into Manhattan High School National Honor Society my sophomore year. I was also voted Vice President for our 2023 Senior Class. 

I have the skills, ability, passion, dedication and drive to be a valued asset to any team and school I am apart of on and off the field.
