My goals for being an athlete are to go on to play at the collegiate level. I have been working my hardest to try to make sure that my goal will be achieved. As a 15 year old being on and 18U A/B travel team I'm starting to see that I have a long ways to go still, but I'm willing to work to get better as much as possible. My stats for the past few years have been some of the highest on my team for travel softball. Last year I had the highest on the team, best batting average, best percentage of outs, most double plays, etc. Being a third basemen and catcher I am built and I have a hard throwing arm for my age. I can pitch and I've played utility just about everywhere on the field. Character-wise I'm one of those girls that gets something on her mind and doesn't give up until she gets it. I'm very determined. Academically I've been advanced my whole life and still am. As a sophomore I'm taking classes that some seniors are taking this year. Athletically, I know when I mess up, and I make it a point not to make the same mistake more than twice. I had very few errors throughout the season last year, and I only struck out 3 times in the season. My weakness is speed, the way my body is proportioned makes it difficult for me to run fast, which has been improving lately. I have always been a power hitter so I guess that makes up for it? I thrived under pressure during my first highschool season and went from not catching at all to being the starting catcher. I go to as many camps as possible to be noticed and work on my skills, I have a hitting and catching coach and I am learning how to get better at every practice. I have a sense of humor but I'm very serious and committed when it comes to softball. Thank you, to all the coaches that view my profile. I hope some day I get the opportunity to work with you!!
