Isabelle Minery '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Isabelle Minery I have played softball since I was little just to stay active. I have always loved it but not until 6th grade I wanted to become the best. Every single day I would be outside hitting and fielding working to become better. I started my first big travel team in 7th grade and through 8th grade, from that I gained more knowledge and connections I use everyday. One of the big things I believe in is having a coach that not only believes in you but knows how to discipline and make you work your hardest and that’s exactly what my coach did. Making me love the game even more. My coach’s started to see my improvement which overall boosted my confidence because of how much all my coach’s have believed in me. In any sport ive always been told, “ she’s a great player she just needs more confidence.” confidence is one of my biggest struggles. I’ve learned that mistakes are how you grow and if you Don’t make them you’re not making any growth. With that when I make a mistake, I forget about it, and move on to the next play. One thing my coach’s have always said is my dedication and hard work are some of my best qualities. I love to have fun but I think having fun is dedicating yourself to the sport you love to put work into. I have gotten the mvp award for my 8th grade season because of my hard work, dedication , leadership, and supportiveness. Which I think are some of the biggest qualities to have. Overall I want to become better everyday and continue to grow my love for softball.
