Addison Wright '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Addison Wright but most people call me Addi. I am a 2026 graduate pitcher from Hagerstown, Maryland. I play for Lady Renegades 16u Domer out of Hagerstown, Maryland. I currently attend Hagerstown Community College as a middle college student while still enrolled in high school at South Hagerstown High School. My primary position is pitcher and my secondary position is first base, while also including that I play both corners. 

I have been playing softball since the age of 4 and started travel ball at the age of 10. As a kid softball was the sport that stuck with me. As I got older it became my safe place. Something I enjoy and find peace in. Many people are playing for something or someone but for me im playing for myself and the love I have for this sport. Some days I'm not 100% mentally but somehow this sport has always came back to me and given me more than I could ever ask for. No matter what I'm feeling, happy, upset, or angry I always turn to softball. Softball has been my motivation since day one. The field has seen me sweat, cry, smile, and many other things. Through tough times a bright yellow ball was all I had most days. With that said I am a better person with this sport and I want all of my teammates to find the same love that I have for this sport. 

As a teammate I always try to encourage my teammates and help them if I can. One thing I think is very important for me is making sure I can make my teammates smile. I have been told that I am a very uplifting player and that I care for my teammates and always cheer them on. I am my teammates number one supporter on and off the field. I want to play college softball to continue my career in the sport I love and in college I want to study psychology to become a forensic psychologist in the future. Overall, my hopes are to be an encouraging, cheerful, uplifting player in college, living my dream playing the sport I love.
