2024 Highlights 
January 2024Hi! My name is Sarah Weitzel and I am a senior at Havre de Grace Highschool. I am a three-sport Varsity athlete for my high school. I play soccer, basketball and softball, and just recently won the Maryland Class 1A State Championship with my soccer team (the first female team state title in school history!) I have played on varsity for all three sports my entire high school career.
I am most passionate about softball, as I have been playing since age 4, in my local Little League program. In my 12 years of Little League, I have been an all-star every year of eligibility. I have helped lead my all-star teams to five division titles, three state titles, and two 3rd place finishes in the Little League Eastern Regionals. I have also played travel softball for an 18U team, since I was age 13. I started every game of my freshman year on the varsity softball team at my high school. I just recently joined the Delaware Magic 18u team and have had a blast!
I can play every position on the field, based on the needs of my team. For high school, I play third base primarily. For travel, I play third base and I catch. When I still played Little League, I played everywhere including pitching. I am willing to play wherever my coach needs me.
I am a straight-A student, with a 4.76 GPA, and am in the BioMed program at my school. Academically I hope to study biomedical engineering to become a prosthetic engineer or something along those lines. I have been a Distinguished Scholar and Honor Roll member since elementary school.
I am a Girl Scout, working on my Gold Award. I have already earned my Silver and Bronze Awards. I am also a Red Cross certified Lifeguard and am CPR and First Aid certified.
I am ready for a challenge and to build new connections with people I haven't met before!
