Hi, my names Ashlynne Smith. I'm currently a sophomore at Northern High School in Calvert County, Maryland. I have been playing softball sense the age of 5 and have always had a love for the game. Like most, I started out playing t-ball then worked my way up to play softball at the parks and rec level. My love and passion for the game kept growing and I decided I wanted to play at the next level. I knew playing travel ball would help me become a better well rounded athlete and would test my skills. After playing 3 seasons of travel ball, I knew I wanted to play at the high school level. I love the competition and I have developed new relationships with my teammates that will last a lifetime. My freshman year at Northern High School I made the JV softball team, with all the hard work we put in, are squad finish the season undefeated. I absolutely love the program and the people in it. All of the coaches and athletes are such amazing people and being able to take away things that will make me a better well rounded athlete, student, and teammate, is a true blessing. I have always been a person of values and morals and those lessons learned from every coach, player, umpire, and my teammates, will stick with me my whole life. To be apart of a team with girls I know will always be there for me on and off the field is an amazing feeling, too know we all support and love each other, and only want the best for each other is a huge part of why I love this game. To be apart of a team who pushes one another to be better, to work hard and fight and to never give up, that come win or lose you always do your best and give back to those who have given so much for you. But most important; to always play with honor and integrity, showing respect to all, as well as officials, coaches, teammates and opponents. We are a reflection of those around us! We honor them with our actions and our character. Outside of softball, I'm a typical teenage girl. I love hanging out with my friends and going shopping or taking fun vacations together. I have a balanced life with softball and my training schedule vs spending time with my friends. It works out
really well. In my free time, I love to read, hangout with family, play with my little sister, & I especially love traveling. I have always wanted to explore the world and see the amazing things life has to offer, theres so many things I would love to see and hopefully I get a chance to when I get older. My love for the world has opened my eyes to wanting to help other people and kids. I absolutely love helping people and to be able to do that as a job is my dream, I can't wait to make it reality through my hard work and dedication that it takes to get there. Thank you for taking time to read a little about me and the things that make me, me.
Thankyou again,
