Amara Nephew '29 Recruiting Profile

My name is Amara Nephew and I am a middle infielder graduating in 2029. I am fast and agile, both on the bases and in the field, and always try to be a supportive teammate.  

I am a really intense, focused, and disciplined person, and I bring these qualities to everything I do, on and off the field. My goal is to grow as a student and as an athlete over the next few years so that I can be recruited to study and play softball at a top college. 

Right now, I am an honors student at Takoma Park Middle School in Takoma Park, Maryland, where I have a 4.0 GPA. I am captain of my school’s cross-country team and I pursue other extracurriculars such as Model United Nations. I would like to study international affairs and political science in college. 

I am a three-sport athlete (softball, cross country, and track). I also lift weights to work on my strength. But softball is my passion. I have loved this sport since I first started playing at six years old. I work hard on my softball every day, and everything I do makes me love it more.
