Watching my twin brother play baseball got me started in my softball career. I started playing rec at age 10, quickly got introduced to travel teams and tournaments and I was hooked. That first year a coach threw some catchers gear on me, told me to go for it, and with a lot of fear and excitement I realized I was a catcher! Taking on a leadership role was challenging yet comfortable to me and I value the importance of being close and have trusting relationships with my coaches, team mates, and especially my pitchers.
I know that wearing my jersey is a privilege. I want to wear a softball jersey as long as possible. Continuing to maintain my high GPA and studying criminology and psychology are my goals for college. Feeling success is what motivates me, but I understand there needs to be some failure to improve. I don't like failure, but I learn from my mistakes and always strive for improvement and excellence.
I am so excited to explore all the opportunities out there to play college softball and to have a platform to share why colleges should be excited to get to know me.
