Madelyn Haslup '28 Recruiting Profile

I began softball journey in 7th grade when I started playing on a recreational team in my community. My 8th grade year everything changed when I earned a spot on the all star team and I found my love of the game. I dedicated my summer to camps, clinics, and try outs. I fought hard to earn a place on a travel team and by the following spring had a spot on my high school varsity team. 

I’m a hardworking, coachable athlete who thrives on reps, feedback, and pushing myself to be better. My competitive nature drives my focus on the field and my determination off it. I take pride in being a strong and encouraging teammate. 

Playing first base allows me to stay vocal and engaged in every play, but I’m ready and willing to contribute wherever I’m needed. I’m passionate about the game, committed to growth, and excited for every opportunity to compete at the next level.

My commitment to my education is equal to my commitment to athletics. I love science and dream of using my skills to help others.
