It is my dream to play softball at the collegiate level. When I step out onto a field I feel most like myself. All of my worries melt away when I have a glove on my hand. The sound of a strike snapping into my glove gives me a rush like nothing else. My doubts vanish when I'm in a batter's box and it's just the pitcher and I, fighting over who wants it more. The only reason I'm willing to drag myself out of bed on a Saturday morning in the middle of summer, knowing that I could just sleep in, is that I get to see my second family bright and early and that I know they love competition almost as much as I do.
"I have watched my daughter play softball, for as long as I can remember. Watching her play softball I can see that she has a lot of passion. She puts the time and effort into playing. She is a team player, and has great leadership skills. She's willing to go over and beyond as asked. The passion she has on the field goes into her school work as well." - Michael Ciaramitaro (my dad)
I'm looking for a program that's going to challenge me, and push me to be the best that I can be. I'm looking for a team that's going to be more than just a group that I play softball with, I want them to be my second family.
