Personal Statement
My softball carrier was raised to a new level once I made the high school varsity as a freshman. One lesson I learned was the off season, daily two-hour workouts and winter ball really paid off. The other lesson was team bonding and friendship. I had been on travel teams, but this was different, we were together for three hours a day for four months. My teammates and coaches became my second family, helping me not only in school to deal with the pressure, on the field and in the class room, of being the sole starting pitcher as a freshman but how to handle the school work and practices/games.
As I enter my junior season this spring our team will be looking for at least eight new varsity players. I am look forward to becoming a leader on this team and installing my work ethic and habits to help my current and new teammates become a unit that can play and win together.
I am looking for a college that not only will fulfill my academics but athletic expectations and give me lasting education, values, and friends forever.
