Personal Statement

Growing up in a household where my family participated in college sports, I love competing and being successful.  I am studious when it comes to school work and enjoy taking a leadership role when playing sports.  Participating in sports as a young girl gave me confidence to step out of my comfort zone.  The team and individual aspects of playing softball as a teenager has allowed me to bond with my teammates to share something we all have in common, the love of the game.  That is something I wish to continue while attending college.  I feel I can contribute to any team with my positive attitude and energy.  I will and can play at any position the coach needs for that day.  The important thing is to contribute, in the most positive way, to the success of the team and enjoy the comradery of the players and coaches.
