Every opportunity I have to play softball I take advantage of. I am a member of my high school, travel ball, the local little league team and my local town teams which keeps me playing year round. In 2016 our Little League team was the state runner-up and came back in 2017 to win states and come only one game shy of making it to the world series. Through this experience, I grew in my desire to persevere and work even harder to accomplish our goals of winning states. It's always been important to me to be a part of a team that understands how to cooperate well together towards a common goal.
I plan to study psychology in college with an emphasis specifically on family and relationship counseling. I have the opportunity to participate in my school's MVP Violence Prevention program as well as Women's leadership programs that have increased my desire to help other people through the struggles they face.
It is important to me that I find a college that will allow me to pursue my passion of playing softball as well as prepare me for a career in the field of counseling. I know doing these things will continue to make my parents proud of me.
