Maya Foxworth '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi there! My name is Maya Foxworth, and I am a Senior at Belleville High School. Softball has only been a part of my life for almost three years, but these have been some of the best years of my life. It was my expectation that I would be on JV for a few years since everyone else had more experience than I did.

I have never played on any travel teams or anything like that, but my friend convinced me to take up softball during my freshman year. After she taught me the basics, I fell in love with the sport. As much as I would like to be on the varsity team, I am also comfortable being on the junior varsity team since I have much to learn.

Although I am not a people person, softball has helped me expand my social circle and I have made many new friends. Having always been an A and B student, I sometimes find it difficult to understand something when I don't get it right away. 

Even though 2nd base is my primary position, I have learned how to play five different positions: 3rd base, catcher, left field, center field, and shortstop. I am looking forward to seeing where the rest of my softball career will take me!
