Mya Menge '28 Recruiting Profile

I am a catcher with a great arm and pop-time.  If I am not catching, I normally play in the outfield, but I am always willing to play wherever I am needed on the field.

I am fast with a wide range in the outfield, a great glove,  and can throw the ball with accuracy and speed.

On the hitting side, I bat leadoff, but can also hit for power as I hit 2 home runs during a section game to help my varsity team advance in the playoffs. 

I followed that up with another 2 HR. game to start off my summer season.

I finished my varsity season leading my team in several categories batting .437 with 6HR on the season which helped me earn All-Conference and All-Section as a 8th grader. I was also voted as Hiawatha Valley Conference Breakthrough Player of the Year by W.I.T.H. Softball. I love playing softball, I am always smiling and that is one reason why I was voted for the Lexi Kretsch award by my teammates. The Lexi Kretsch award is somebody who must show passion and love for the game, be gritty, have mental toughness, leadership, and sportsmanship, always willing to learn, and have knowledge of the game. 

I also work very hard in the class room as I have dreams of becoming a student athlete at a high level university.
