Blythe Proulx '24 Recruiting Profile

Softball is my favorite thing and every moment I’m not playing it I wish I was. I have been playing for years and would play for the rest of my life if I could. 

I enjoy anything that has to do with sports and being active because I am a multi sport athlete. I have been playing softball and volleyball since I was 7 years old. I also played soccer and basketball for 6 years as well. I love to be busy. 

I have been a varsity player in softball since I was in 8th grade, I started off as a DP to bat in the line up until my junior year.

My junior season I played right field and batted 4th in the batting order. I ended the season with 29 total chances in the field, 26 putouts, 1 assist, and 2 errors. Ending the year with a .931 fielding percentage. 

I was able to have 67 at bats and had a .328 batting average. Softball stats from my junior season: OBP: .408% OPS: .871% SLG: .463% H: 22 1B: 16 2B: 4 3B: 1 HR: 1 RBI: 20 SO: 12.

My travel/summer softball team is the Minnesota Blast and I have been playing with them for 7 years. I have also played dome ball for 2 years with the Blast and competed in fall ball as well. Each summer we play between 40-50 games. Competing in A level tournaments including NAFA in MN every year. This past year at NAFA we placed top 12 out of 28 in gold and top 40 out of 112. I have also competed in the Great Lakes National softball tournament at the Louisville slugger complex in Peoria IL for 3 years now.

 I primarily play right field and outfield. 

Over the 2023 summer softball season I had 11 home runs now putting me at 40 homeruns out of the park total for my career. I am able to hit the ball 81 mph+ and 250 feet+. In total we ended our season with an overall of 32-11-1. Taking 4 tournament titles out of 7 tournaments. 

This summer I will be playing with the Minnesota Elite 18u Rubischko out of Eden Prairie MN. I also played this past fall with them as well. 

This last fall I played my senior season of volleyball. We ended with a 28-3 record. I have been a varsity starter since 10th grade. I have also played travel volleyball for the past 9 years.

Some other things I enjoy are four wheeling, swing dancing, and spending time at my cabin.
