Personal Statement

I want to play softball in college because softball, especially pitching, has been a big part of my life from the first time I stepped on the field in fifth grade. I love to be competitive as a player and as a team and I love the balance it gives me between the physical and mental challenges of the sport. I enjoy the hard work it requires and I love the fun of the game! 

I think my coaches and teammates would describe me as a leader and a tough competitor. They would describe my dedication to the game, that I always give 100%.  I’ve been told that I am very coachable and I’m always seeking to improve. 

I want to contribute to a softball program that has a strong team spirit and coaches that can give me the tools to succeed as a player and as a student.  I’m open to all options while hoping to play and study at the highest level possible.
