Katelyn Hackman '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Katelyn Hackman and I am a 2024 grad at Tartan Senior High School in Oakdale, MN.  I live in Oakdale ,MN with my parents Jeremy and Ann and my younger sister Ashlyn. I hope to continue my softball career at the collegiate level while studying something in the Medical field.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

I come from an athletic family and softball is definitely in my blood. My Grandpa, Jim Rubbelke, is in the ISC (International Softball Congress) Hall of Fame. I also have many cousins who have played College softball, as well as my Uncle, who is Head Softball coach at Hamline University.             Besides softball, I also played Hockey and soccer growing up. This past fall, I decided to tryout for the High School Tennis team. It was great to try something new and I was lucky enough to earn my first Varsity letter. I also played on the Varsity Hockey team this past winter.                                         

When I am not playing sports or going to school, I enjoy traveling with my Family.  Hawaii, Key West, FL and Niagara Falls, NY are a few of my favorite places.   I enjoy the outdoors with my Dad, and hanging with my friends.  

The game of Softball has taught me how to believe in myself, how to battle through adversity, how to win and lose, and it also brought me my best friends in the world.
