Personal Statement

My name is Makayla Hall. I am a highly motivated individual in all areas.  My academics are very important to me and I want to attend a college that is a good fit for my major while playing softball.   I have maintained a 4.0+ grade point average while playing three different sports throughout my Freshman and Sophomore years, and I am ranked #1 in my class.

I have a strong work ethic with a never quit attitude.  I believe my instincts and knowledge for the game of softball would be a great asset to any team.  I consider myself a coachable athlete who listens and works well with others .  I run the 400m,  200m, and 4 X 200 for our varsity track team as well and finished 3rd in State in the 800m as a Freshman.  I am a hard worker and have the determination to reach the goals I set for myself.

I like to be involved in many activities which includes helping others.  During the past three summers I have volunteered to help out at my local elementary school with their softball camps.    When I a not playing softball, basketball, or running track, I am playing softball with my select travel team, 16A Fullswing Connection.  I enjoy helping people, therefore my future plans are to work in the field of psychology and work with those who suffer from PTSD.  I look forward to going through the recruiting process and meeting new coaches and learning about the different schools that may be part of my future.
