Personal Statement

My name is Ashlyn Dawes, and I'm a junior (2026) at Jackson Senior High School. I have a 4.08 GPA and I like to be challenged academically and athletically. I play travel softball for the Midwest Grit 2007's, and I'm a RHP/ OF with a strong bat. I'm super competitive, I'm always looking to improve my game and I want to carry that to the collegiate level. I am planning on graduating college with a major that's health care related.

We are a competitive first year 18U team. We finished our 2024 Summer season earning 2nd place at Destin, FL in USSA's Road to the Beach tournament. We played in many 16A tournaments last season, and had a very successful season. We will start back up, and play 2 tournaments this fall after my high school season ends. I have 6 years of club experience with this team.
