Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 7 years old. I always played with the older girls because of my past experience with my older brothers playing baseball. Though it was very pre-competitive, I was able to grow as a softball player and find my passion for the sport.
As I began to get more and more competitive with my teams, I was able to meet some of the best people I have ever met, some of whom I still keep in touch with 5 years later. Others I am currently playing with are some of the greatest blessings I have in my life. Being able to play a sport that I have loved for so long with girls who feel the same away about it and girls who all have the same goal as me is incredible.
That common goal is to win. And with a goal to win comes a different goal as well, to play collegiate softball at the highest level possible with girls who share that goal of winning. My competitiveness, will to succeed and determination is exactly what sets me out from the ordinary softball player. I'm not going down without a fight. I'll do whatever it takes to reach my goals.
Softball aside, I am a great student with the attitude of learning something new every day. I am three years advanced in math to my fellow 2019 graduates, and I have a 4.0 GPA. With my leadership ability, I was voted Student Council Representative and Class President. I feel learning is truly the key to success and I hope to never stop being successful.
