Ruby Sheridan '28 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing softball since I was six years old, and from the beginning, it’s been more than just a sport—it’s been my passion. My dad played collegiate baseball and my step-dad played collegiate basketball, and they have both instilled in me the drive to compete, lead, and push myself to become the best version of who I am—on and off the field. Their encouragement, experience, and support have helped shape my goal of playing softball at the collegiate level, where I can grow as a student-athlete and teammate.

What sets me apart as a recruit is my work ethic, mental toughness, and leadership. This year I played second base for Skyview High School's Varsity team in Billings, MT, where I earned Second-Team All-Conference honors as a Freshman in the Eastern Class AA division. I was named Female Athlete of the Year at my middle school in 2024, and now serve as a team captain and leadoff hitter for the Montana Freedom AAU travel softball team, competing year-round and striving to raise the level of everyone around me.

As a dual-sport athlete, I also play on Skyview’s Sophomore and JV basketball teams, which has helped me develop strength, agility, and a deeper competitive mindset. I carry that same focus into the classroom. I’ve been on the Honor Roll since elementary school, earned the Principal’s Leadership Award in both 2021 and 2024, and completed my Freshman year with a 4.1 GPA, while taking Honors English and Honors Science. I was also recognized with High Honors for maintaining a GPA of 3.7 or higher throughout the year.

I’m looking for a college program where I can be challenged—academically and athletically—while continuing to grow as a leader and role model. I want to be part of a team-first culture that values discipline, integrity, and commitment. I bring energy, accountability, and a true love for the game. I’m excited to find the right program where I can compete, contribute, and thrive both on the field and in the classroom.
