Ava Simpson '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ava Simpson and I am a 2026 Nebraska OF/UTIL for Nebraska Thunder (A). My coaches have always praised my leadership, coach-ability, and eagerness to improve and learn. I have been playing softball for 12 years from T-ball to high school I have had a huge passion and love for the sport. I knew since I was ten years old I wanted to play collegiate softball. I have played every position but frequently RF/CF/MI/Corners.

I am a straight A student with a 4.7188 GPA, ranked 2/404 in my class. I am very involved at school with Student Council (Rep), LINK Peer Mentorship (Rep), Editor in Chief of Newspaper, PEW (Promoting Empowerment in our World), Unified Bowling, and Circle of Friends. I am not 100% sure what I would like to go to college for but a few choices are sonography, radiology, and dental. I am open to all levels of competition that match with my future degree.

Outside of being a student-athlete I serve at my church, volunteer, and have a part time job.

I am beyond excited to see what is to come for my college softball career!!
