Makenzie Gillan '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Makenzie Gillan and I play for the travel softball team, Lil Rebels - Vern 16U. I am in tenth grade and attend Arbor View High School. I am expected to graduate in 2020. I am currently maintaining a 3.5 GPA.  In addition to playing softball, I have helped to produce my middle school’s yearbook. I also participated in Best Buddies, an organization which helps aid people with disabilities in forming friendships. I am interested in studying programs related to Criminal Justice to pursue a career in the FBI as an FBI Profiler.

On the field, I play 2nd base, short-stop, and outfield. I primarily play 2nd, but am always willing to play wherever I am needed. For the past four seasons, I have been a lead-off batter, and enjoy leading my team.

To further develop my game, I have attended the Jerrad Hardin Elite Camp in January of 2015 and 2016, the University of Washington National Recruiting Camp (September 2015), the Softball Factory National Try-out (November 2015), Weber State University Camp (December 2016), and the Utah State University Martin Luther King Camp (January 2017). I am always looking to improve my skills.
