Janeigha Stutesman '22 Recruiting Profile

    I'm a student athlete in that order, it's hard to beat someone who never quits in the classroom or on the diamond. Even though I moved from my home town with all my friends and family, to a place I didn't know anyone, it didn't stop me from striving to be the best on the field and in the classroom.

    I grew up at the ball park, my dad coached a baseball team , I was always there so I grew up loving the game. Through loving the game it made me learn what two little words mean; dedication and leadership. It has shown me that handwork pays off, going out and practicing when I don't want to, or when i'm sick, and missing out on doing normal teenage things, In the long run it will pay off. Leadership is a tricky word, to me it means lead by actions not by words, bring people up even if your down, have guts, and being the best me I can be.  In the game of softball I have been humble, cheered, won, lost, but the passion for this game has not changed who I am.

I may be an athlete but I am a student first. I have academic goals in high school that I want to achieve. I want to build skills and routines that prepare me and set me up for college so I can continue achieving a 3.5 GPA or higher.  I want to succeed in life!
