2024 summer highl...Hi, Coaches!
My name is Olivia Packard, I'm almost 16 years old, and I am from Lancaster, New Hampshire. As my travel season has begun, I currently play for Granite State Elite 18U MC, out of Epsom, New Hampshire.
My collegiate goals are not only to play college softball for another four years, but to attend and graduate from a college that will bring me pure happiness, new friends and family, but tons of challenge. I'm looking to study Animal Science and Pre-Veterinary Medicine, and aspire to graduate with tons of knowledge to later pursue veterinary school.
What would make me a good candidate for your team is that my main focus on the field is learning, and staying loose; no matter what happens, it's in the past. Just go with the flow! We learn from our mistakes more than our successes.
What differentiates me from other recruits academically is my heavy focus on my academics not only in school, but outside of school as well. Everyday it feels like office work, but it's worth it at the end of each assignment, project, etc.
Athletically, what differentiates me is my prioritization of my body outside of pitching and running bases. I consistently focus on my nutrition, and consistently get in muscle-building, heart-pumping workouts each week to help me dominate on the power side of pitching and hitting.
Finally, what differentiates me through characteristics and as a human, is that I don't just play softball for me and my future; I play for all those who dream of playing on the dirt, but cannot. You will see ribbons are in my hair every weekend for those girls with dreams like mine, but are unfortunately unable to fulfill them. Every young girl has dreams, and every single one of them matter.
Thank you, Coach, for reading about me and where I currently am in the big softball world around us.
I hope I can attend camps of yours and what not in the future, get to meet, and get to chat with you someday soon as my junior year is now slowly approaching!
Best,
- Olivia Packard, 2028, Granite State Elite 18U MC, White Mountains Regional High School
