Personal Statement
I have been playing softball for 8 years, and when I first started it quickly became something I loved to do. I had only started playing in fourth grade and it felt like I was behind in ability compared to everyone. The first year I played, we had started live pitching and it felt like that was the only thing I had a fair shot at and I stuck with it. Once I started to pitch, I began to love the game. I would be out every day in my backyard with my dad just trying to throw a strike. Pitching is what started my love for the game and pushed me to work hard. As I've gotten older, I've realized that I want to pursue a job in the medical field, more specifically medical research. I've always been a hard worker on and off the field. From a young age, I've been very good at time management so I've always been able to keep up with training and school work and I would continue this work ethic into and through college.
