For me, I use Softball as not only a way to convey my athletic abilities, but as a way to further develop myself as a person. I began to play softball when I was 8 years old and have spent hours upon hours of training to get to where i am today. As a player I to the best of my ability display positivity throughout all situations because I know from past experiences how one team members attitude can effect the entire attitude of the team, this is why I look at every mistake, loss, or minor mishap as a learning moment on and off the field. My work ethic and ability to work well with others allows me to be a very good candidate for any college softball team. I unlike some athletes am up to any challenge and will go to tremendous measures if need be, as well as being able to maintain a strong GPA while doing so because Student comes before Athlete . In high school I played 3 varsity sports all year round with practices everyday sometimes including Saturdays and still was able to maintain a 4.0 GPA throughout all 4 years with the help of my parents, staff, and teachers. A good athlete knows both their strengths and weaknesses and know there is always room for improvement that's why I am going into any program with an open mind and am both willing and excited to further progress as a player throughout college.
