Mackenzie Mahoney '26 Recruiting Profile

I have had a love for softball since I was a child watching my parents play in adult leagues and my brother playing baseball.  Our town has a strong youth league, which I joined as soon as I could (second grade).  I was fortunate to play every summer for Cato Little League as well as All Star teams as I got older.  I had a late start with travel teams, yet quickly made a name for myself.  Opponents underestimate my speed (I love to steal bases!), quick reflexes and hitting ability.  Coaches, parents and teammates often comment on my positive attitude and enthusiasm.  I work hard in school and have begun to focus on something I was recently told....."You play softball to go to college.  You don't go to college to play softball."  I would like to focus on my studies in hopes of a scholarship to a college of my choice.
