Personal Statement
I fell in love with softball when I first started playing at the age of 5. At 8 years old, I was on my first 10u travel team. I started to think about the collegiate level of softball around 11 years old. I knew that I had to work hard to obtain good grades, skills, and great strength to make it to the level I want to play at. I aspire to play college softball as a pitcher at the highest level.
I have a very good softball IQ. I am very coachable and I love to be pushed and challenged. I’m also very flexible about trying new things and I’m always looking for new ways to improve. The more I learn, the better I will be! I am a leader and love being a part of a competitive team dynamic. I love interacting with my teammates and my coaches. I attend all my practices, scrimmages, and games. I practice on my own at least 2-3 times a week in addition to my private pitching lessons, hitting, conditioning & team practices.
I had the honor of being invited to play on my High School JV softball team as an 8th grader, but unfortunately due to Covid-19, that school season was cancelled. That was one of the most disappointing moments of my life. This year I was invited to tryout and made our High School Varsity team as a Freshman! I am very proud to play school ball and represent my school.
In the classroom, I study hard to maintain a GPA of 4.0 while taking honors courses. I am recognized for high achievement honors in my first year of high school just as I was for 3yrs in middle school. I am a member of NJHS (National Junior Honor Society).
I am a standout athlete & student. I am working very hard every day to be that college recruited softball player that you are looking for!
