I started playing softball when I was in fourth grade on our towns little league team. That year we went all the way to the state final and it was one of the most exciting moments I can remember. Ever since that tournament, I didn't want to ever stop playing the sport. I kept on playing on as many teams as I could, whenever I could. Since I have been a part of so many teams, I have had to work on many different positions in order to become capable of playing wherever the coaches needed to put me. Through this sport I have learned the importance of hard work and dedication, and I use these skills on and off the field. In school, I always try to push myself to do the best I possibly can. I like to be a part of many different clubs and other activities so that I can make new friends and also learn different things about myself. I would be a good candidate for a collegiate team because I have been able to balance sports and other outside activities while staying at the top of my class. Along with my ability to manage my time wisely, I think my good work ethic and my ability to adapt to any changes that are thrown my way are the most important aspects of myself that can be translated onto any field.
