My names Tanika Champlin, I am a Junior at Johnson City Senior High School where I play left/right-field as a member of our Varsity softball team. I also play for RBI Lightning's fastpitch travel organization where I serve as a utility player specializing in 3rd base and mid-infield. Throughout my High School career, I have pushed myself in areas where I needed to improve, both on and off the field, taking advantage of my schools Advanced placement and honors classes and using them to further my academic skill level top make up for those I lacked in. While academics are important and a vital part of going to college, I strongly believe that sports activities help to form a persons character and gives them a sense of responsibility to not let their teammates down. Ever since I first stepped onto that diamond I've had a powerful connection to the game, thanks to amazing coaches and teammates who have supported and challenged me throughout my softball career. Playing at a college level has always been an aspiration of mine, regardless of the level, since I cannot imagine myself not being out their and playing alongside others during thrilling and demanding games. No matter the level I am to play at, I am willing to go to any length to achieve my goals and aspirations of playing softball in college, and despite the fact that softball is a rigorous and insisting sport, it is what motivates and influences who I am as a person today. Thank you for taking the time to read over my profile and I hope my desire to continue playing softball can positively influence your decision to further look into my profile and me.
