Lily Fish '20 Recruiting Profile

In 7th grade as an 11-12 year old, I was asked to play up for JV soccer, basketball and softball for a competitive Class AA program at Fayetteville-Manlius High School.  I lettered in 8th grade as a starter for my Varsity softball and basketball teams.

I am now 16, a 4 season Varsity starter and a scholar athlete with a 4.0 GPA.  I have been a dedicated and passionate athlete since tee ball at 3 years old, and was voted the most athletic girl in my class of nearly 400 students. I have also been grateful to receive multiple regional athletic honors.

The most valuable lessons I have learned playing up at such a young age:

• Be humble. Natural athleticism only took me so far - hard work, drive and great coaching is what makes the difference at a higher level.
• Be a mentor and show kindness to younger and less experienced athletes. I was in their shoes not so long ago.
• How to balance a challenging academic course load with a demanding sports schedule.  

My goal is to attend a school that will continue to challenge me academically and enable me to grow as a teammate and athlete. I am very excited to play at the college level!
