Makena Thiel '26 Recruiting Profile

My biggest goal throughout the recruiting process is to find the institution and softball program that is the best fit to accomplish my athletic and academic goals, as well as fits my personality and skill level. I want to be a part of a program that is going to help me grow in my abilities and reach my full potential. It has been a goal of mine since playing 10U summer ball to one day play collegiate softball. I would define myself as a leader who pushes their teammates and encourages them to do their absolute best. I work hard and put in the time outside of the season to prepare myself for the next one. I have an amazing support system around me who wants to see me succeed and pushes me to keep working. My future plan is to use my Physical Therapy degree to one day become a Sports Physical Therapist for a school/program to help other athletes get back to doing what they love.
