Personal Statement

Thank you for viewing my profile. My name is Jostyn, but I go by Nettie. I am a 2023 catcher for my high school team and travel softball team. I also play first base when I am not catching. I am looking for a college that meets my needs academically and athletically. I am beginning the veterinary tech program at Tri-Rivers Career Center and taking college credit classes that will lead to a pre-vet program in college.
I have been playing fastpitch softball since the age of 8 and have learned so much. I always "liked" softball, but I did not "love" the game until I overcame obstacles and really learned the game. I have become a leader on the field and I put in the work it takes to be a great softball player. My coaches trust me to call the pitches in the games, and as a freshman I knew that this was a huge accomplishment. My coaches believe in me and that has grown my confidence as a player.

USA Softball Identifier for the High Performance Training Program in OH/WV

9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. CATCHERS – hitting stations, running and throwing station, defense stations. The USA Softball High Performance Program (HPP) will identify a pool of athletes to train, compete and represent USA Softball through domestic and international competition. The program will focus on providing an equal opportunity for players to develop their skills and show their talent while growing the game of softball in the United States. Serving as a pipeline to the National Team, the program is inclusive to all that wish to participate and develop their skills. The program will also identify a pool of coaches who can lead athletes and support their goals to advance their skills and achieve success.

Wolves Softball Prospect Camp Fall 2020

This camp is designed to provide players ample opportunities to showcase their skills for the West Georgia coaching staff and other coaches from the region. This camp does not include skill instruction; rather, it is designed for coaches to evaluate talent. Each prospect will have the opportunity to showcase speed, defensive, hitting, pitching, and catching skills. There will also be various coaches from other collegiate programs evaluating talent at this camp. Schedule 11:30am – Registration Check In 12:30pm – Camp Begins
