Peityn Crosser '29 Recruiting Profile

I am from a very small town in northwest Ohio of 1300 people with my graduating class of 35. Due to the small numbers I learned quickly that pursuing my love of softball would require extra effort from my family and I to find a place for me to be able to play. I have dedicated the last six years of myself to playing softball. Softball has taught me the importance of teamwork, but also allowed me to connect with girls from multiple different towns who share the passion of softball. It is amazing how a shared love for a sport can bring people together creating friendships that extend beyond the game. The way teammates encourage each other and help thru difficult times is what I love most about the sport.

As a right-handed pitcher and utility player I have had the chance to experience different roles on the field. Each position has taught me different valuable lessons like adaptability, toughness, and mental health awareness. No matter what position I am playing, I strive on doing my best and give 100% not just for myself but also my teammates. 

Being 14 I haven't decided yet what I want to be when I grow up, but I hope I get to bring my passion for team work and the love for the game to a collegiate level.
