Ellie Beck-Aden '26 Recruiting Profile

One of my favorite softball memories was playing at 2:00 a.m. at a 10U PGF tournament. It was very cold and dark, and my teammates and I were all exhausted. Before the game, we compared mud stains on our uniforms as we sat in the indoor concession stand seating area because it had been raining all day. During that game—which started at 12:15 a.m., we still had the energy. In the dugout, we were all slap-happy, but we won and got to advance. We slept for a few hours and returned to the field for warm-up at 7 a.m. Throughout the day, we kept winning even though we were all really tired.

That memory has stuck with me because I learned that, if our team members have good attitudes and energy, even when we’re tired and cold, we can still win. I’ve also learned that I love playing with my teammates and going through cool experiences with them. I’m a quieter person, but I’m always positive, supportive of my teammates, and calm in difficult situations. I have been told by my coaches that I’m very coachable, and I’m looking for a college with a team that has positive players and coaches who love teaching their players.
